This is an epitaph I wrote about my papa who died of cancer a few years ago. I chose to do this poem because it means a lot to me.
Papa Who I Love
I had no idea that the time would end.
I never thought I would lose such a friend.
Mom told me I should write a letter to you.
I thought I had time. I never knew.
Your weird sense of hum0r had me laughing on the floor.
I still remember that crazy note on your door.
Mom, Grandma, and I came home from shopping at the mall.
The door was locked. We had no phone to call!
It has been many years since that day you left,
And every day, I am filled with regret.
The memories I have of you and me,
Will forever be something that I think and see.
Love Savannah Day

All About Me
Hi! My name is Savannah Day. I come from Fillmore Utah, and this is my second year at UVU. Iiously, I went to Snow College for two years where I got my associates degree. I was going to do secondary education doing history, but decided against it when i found history was always my worst grade:) but I still enjoy studying it. I have 2 older sisters named Amanda (age 25) and Lydia (age 24). My mom works at a library in Fillmore, and my dad works at a cheeseplant in Fillmore. I enjoy reading all kinds of books, and I also enjoy playing the piano.
The Basics About Me
Hi! My name is Savannah Day. I am from Fillmore Utah, and this is my second year at UVU. I am 21 years old. I graduated in 2005 at Millard High and went to Snow College for my first two years where I received my associates. I was planning on doing secondary education teaching history, but that was always my worst grade so I changed to elementary education, and I am so happy I decided to! And I still love studying history too! I have two older sisters: Amanda Stevens (age 25) and Lydia Day (age 24). Also included are my parents Darwin and Cindy. My dad works at a cheeseplant in Fillmore, and my mom works at the local library there in Fillmore. I love to read, play the piano, and sleep. Now is the fun part where I do my confessing: I hardly know anything about computers! I know my facebook, and I can look up my email and use search websites, but this blog is definitely new to me. I can also do a basic powerpoint presentation, but ask me to do anything special with it, and I'm at a loss. Also, adding material from websites is new to me. I never would have known how to put a youtube video on here if I had not been shown. You are probably wondering why I don't know more especially after taking the prerequisite for this class. Its because I didn't take it. They let me use my college computers to count for it and I took that my senior year of highschool, and this is my fourth year of college! Anyway, I'm really excited to learn all this new stuff. I believe it is very important to use technology in a classroom. Thats the age we live in now, and I believe there will come a time when that is all we use. I don't especially like that idea, but that is reality. I may not know much about technology, but I do know that it can be an excellent help if students know how to use it. Some of my goals I have for this class is to be able to put things on my blog page like the slideshow. Right now, I had no idea what people were talking about in class. I don't even remember the name of the program you use to make a slideshow, let alone download it onto my blog page! Also, I'm excited to be able to manage my UEN page and also keep that updated, and also to be able to learn how to post articles I have written. I tried the other day; it didn't work. Anyway, I'm excited to learn all that this class has to offer, especially since it feels like whatever I learned in highschool is now irrelevent.
